ABOUT US

It is our supreme desire to know Christ and be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of doctrinal differences that have led to division in the body of Christ.

We desire that the only true basis of this Christian fellowship be God’s love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.

We desire that our worship of God be spiritual. Therefore we remain flexible and yielded to the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.

We desire that our worship of God be inspirational. Therefore we give a great place to music in our worship.

We desire that our worship of God be intelligent. Therefore our services are designed with great emphasis upon teaching of the Word of God that He might instruct us how He should be worshipped.

We desire that our worship of God be fruitful. Therefore we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshipping Him.

Prayer: To visibly portray, individually and corporately, our Lord’s desire that His church have prayer as a primary focus in all worship, teaching, outreach and fellowship (James 5:16; 1 John 5:14-15; Philippians 3:6-7).

Worship: To worship God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit in spirit and in truth (John 4:24; Hebrews 12:28-29; Exodus 34:14).

Teaching: To build up the Church of Jesus Christ through the teaching of the Word, discipleship, and the ministry of the Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7; Ephesians 4:11-13).

Outreach: To be ambassadors of Christ in our community, and to the nations, and to lead men, women and children to faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (2 Corinthians 4:20-21; Matthew 28:19-20; John 3:16).

Fellowship: To actively participate in the gathering together to share, encourage, and love one another as we first love God, in Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 10:24-25; John 13:34-35; 1 John 1:7).

Our Statement of Faith stated in the Church Bylaws:

We Believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.

We Believe that the physical universe, the realm of nature, is the visible creation of God. It declares God’s existence and gives a trustworthy revelation of God’s character and purpose. In Scripture, God declares that through His creation all humanity recognizes His existence, power, glory, and wisdom.

We Believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.

We Believe in God The Father, an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

We Believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit.

We Believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and His personal, visible return to earth.

We Believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit.

We Believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice and therefore, are under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit, empowering them for service.

We Believe in the universal Church, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.

We Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: Water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe in baptism by immersion and communion open to all believers.

We Believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and the endless suffering of the wicked.

We Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple men of every nation. The fulfillment of that Great Commission requires that all worldly and personal ambitions be subordinated to a total commitment to “Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.”
