Acts 2:42

Mid-week Study and Fellowship

Through our Acts 2:42 Fellowship it is our desire to bring brothers and sisters in Christ together so that we might encourage one another, grow with one another, and strengthen one another to go out and touch the world for Jesus Christ.

Acts 2:42 tells us that in the early days of the Christian church: “They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” This fellowship is focused on that wonderful example set for us by those early believers in Jesus Christ.

We begin by sharing a meal with one another, enjoying a time fellowship and friendship. We then move to a time of exploring the endless riches of God’s Word and discussing together how we might better understand and apply them. We also give great emphasis to a time of prayer, turning our eyes to the Lord and bearing one another’s burdens through prayer.

Children’s Ministry

It is our purpose and heart’s desire that Calvary Fellowship Children’s Ministry be a place where every child experiences a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and grows to love and serve Him through the teaching of the Bible, fellowship and worship.

We desire to partner with parents in the teaching and reading of God’s Word, and the modeling of the vital importance of a regular prayer life. We believe the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) instructs us on how important is that we disciple our children in a deliberate way, both at home and in church.

We are committed to providing a fun and loving environment for babies through fifth grade. All of our volunteers have been thoroughly pre-screened with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and are available to serve you and your family during our regular Saturday evening church service.

Our Saturday Evening Kid’s Programs

Nursery – Pre-K (Ages 0-4):
For our little ones we provide loving attention and care for newborns through three years of age. The toddler age children also have a brief lesson that is appropriate for their age and attention span. On occasion they will complete a simple craft or drawing page.

Elementary (1st – 5th grade):
Our elementary children will have an interactive “Sunday” school geared toward their ages and learning abilities. There we spend time learning God’s word, praying for each other and enjoying other activities such as crafts, drama, or games to aid in the lesson for the night. Students are encouraged to bring their own bible to class. We try to memorize a scripture each night.

Additional Information
In addition to our regular programs we will also have various special events that may include: Vacation Bible School, one-day events and much more. These times are designed for fellowship, and growth, and to allow our children to bring their friends and have fun in a safe environment. For all events, parents will be welcomed and encouraged to participate.

Our Children’s Ministry also regularly supports a Compassion International child. Our Compassion child will be introduced to all the children for the purposes of prayer and learning about helping those in need. This also gives an ongoing voluntary opportunity for parents to begin introducing Biblical stewardship principals to their children by allowing them to give monetarily to their Compassion child.

Youth Ministry

The youth ministry at Calvary Fellowship is all about Jesus Christ. We want every young person to come to know Jesus. And we want every Christian young person to know Him better.

In a world where God is ignored and rejected the best and only hope a student has is Jesus Christ. We want to see Jesus lifted high in the hearts and lives of today’s youth. All youth from 6th-12th grade are welcome and invited to visit us.

Our Ministry Objectives

1. Teaching
God’s Word will be taught. Sound and relevant Bible teaching will be the foundation of discipleship. Students will learn to love God’s Word and allow the Holy Spirit to apply it to their lives.

2. Relationships
The youth director and youth leaders will pursue discipling relationships with students. Students will be encouraged to develop Christ-like friendships. Godly relationships will allow students to experience God’s Word personally. The youth director will pursue relationships with student’s parents.

3. Activities
Special events and activities will provide an opportunity and setting for relationships to grow and for students to participate in the Body of Christ.

Saturday Evenings

Beginning at 6pm students gather for group building activities. Then at 6:30 meet for Bible teaching.

Special Events

Special events can include, but are not limited to, summer and winter retreats, over-nighters, one-day events, short-term missions, and much more. These times are designed for fellowship, and growth, and to allow students to bring friends and have fun in a safe environment. For all events, parents will be welcomed and encouraged to participate.

Women’s Ministry

There are many opportunities for the women at Calvary Fellowship to grow in the Word, in serving others, and also in forming relationships with one another. Ladies’ Bible Study is on Thursday mornings at 9:00 am.

Our desire is to reach women, through the transforming love of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to equip women through Discipleship, Bible Studies, Retreats, Prayer, Fellowship and Mentoring, so that they will be maturing followers of Jesus Christ and live an overcoming life through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our desire is to provide an atmosphere for women to develop their abilities and giftings so that they can find their place in ministering to others in the body of Christ.

Men’s Ministry

The goal of the Men’s Ministry is to bring men together to encourage and support one another as we explore the riches of God’s Word.

What is the purpose of my life? Why do I exist? How do I find meaning? How do I satisfy my need to be significant? Why are my relationships in shambles? Who am I trying to please? We have all asked these questions of ourselves. But do we truly know where to go for the real answers? The CFM men’s ministry may not be able to give you the answers to all of these questions, but we are here to point you to the One who can.

We are hoping to build men whose feet are on the ground but who are looking to the far horizon. Men whose hearts God has touched. Men wholly dedicated to God and His holy and high purposes. Men of integrity.

We meet the first and third Saturday of each month at 9:00 am at the home of George Sweat. We spend time in prayer, fellowship, studying the Word of God and discussing its application to our life today. Please reach out for more information or directions.

Missions

Michael and Sheri Parks head up an organization called Frontier Partners International. Frontier Partners is a compassionate aid organization. They engage in relief from early second wave disaster response to long-term development in the sectors of agriculture, education, medical, and refugees.

Michael and Sheri’s goal is to assist the suffering people in disaster regions by saving lives and bringing hope. Their focus is on people in remote regions of the world who are the most isolated from assistance and routinely neglected by other organizations.

Michael’s current projects have him working in the countries of Israel, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. He is also forming a Disaster Relief Team to be able to respond quickly and effectively to a disaster.

Ron and Katya Putnum head up Slavic Christian Ministries, a Christian mission agency that shares the Good News of Jesus Christ. They focus their outreach to the cities, towns, and villages within northeast Ukraine.

Their ministries include orphans, refugees, medical missions, theology courses, and drug rehabilitation. In the past, they have also engaged in English evangelism courses, short-term mission trips, and distance learning.

Their theological resources have been read, taught, and studied in churches across Ukraine and in 80 Christian colleges in Ukraine and Russia.
